Radix Tree and Landscape Consulting Inc (Radix) was founded by Michelle McEwen in 2010 to be able to provide responsible, professional consulting services in the Arboriculture and Horticulture fields to a wide range of clientele. The company has since incorporated (2015) and continues to allow for the Radix team to maximize their skills, experience, and training, independently & in collaboration with other like-minded professionals.
The Radix team commits to continue to provide a wide range of professional arboricultural and horticultural consulting services to their clients including generating inventories and tree management plans for varying sized strata complexes & residential/commercial clientele; tree health assessments & evaluations; hazard tree risk assessments; creating & implementing tree protection plans; supervising construction & excavation work around trees; creating planting plans for permit works including riparian reinstatement & natural environment area; providing basic consultation for clients on their trees & landscape; generating arborist reports for a wide range of client needs; landscape tree appraisals; expert witness reports & testimony for insurance claims & court actions; project management for clients on large scale renovations or reclamations; and any of the related data collection & documentation. Radix has also tirelessly worked to build good network & working relationships with like-minded professionals and build a good reputation with municipalities, cities, and industry colleagues.
With over 28 years experience in the horticultural & arboriculture industries, Radix strives to further expand their professional knowledge & experience into the field of arboriculture. Michelle holds certifications as an ISA Certified Arborist, Qualified Tree Risk Assessor (TRAQ) & Certified Wildlife/Danger Tree Assessor. Michelle also holds a Certificate in Landscape Horticulture and a Certificate of Qualification for Landscape Horticulture (a.k.a. Trades Certification). Radix is a member in good standing with the BC Landscape & Nursery Association, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) as well as with the Pacific Northwest Division of the ISA and with the American Society of Consulting Arborists..
All work done by Radix is in conformity to the ISA Standards, Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers, BC Landscape Standards, American Society of Consulting Arborists, and WorkSafe BC.
